My Apple Jalapeño Sauce combines the spicy heat of jalapeños with the tart sweetness of apples. This luscious BBQ sauce does a little bit of everything.

Hey Grill Hey Apple Jalapeño BBQ Sauce

Sometimes your BBQ needs a little excitement, and that’s where my Apple Jalapeño Sauce comes in clutch. Meat is usually plenty savory, so enhancing often comes down to a balance of sweet and spicy. You know what has a perfect balance of sweet and spicy? That’s right, this amazing sauce. The heat from the jalapeños is enough to give a little kick to your pulled pork without scaring away picky eaters. The sticky sweetness of the apples adds to the slight sweetness of your grilled chicken while enhancing the savory notes. It makes a glorious glaze for your ribs or a dip for your chicken wings. It also makes an excellent drizzle for pizzas and sandwiches.

Pairing Suggestions

Yes, this Apple Jalapeño Sauce is loaded with enough flavor it doesn’t need any help, but it pairs amazing with all the rubs in my line. I personally love the combination of flavor and texture I get when using it alongside some of my Rib Rub when smoking some baby backs. The contrast of the savory, smoky rub with the sweet and spicy sauce is an experience guests at your cookout won’t soon forget.

It’s true when I first created the original recipe for my Apple Jalapeño sauce, it was with pork in mind.
