Homemade BBQ Ranch Dressing

Everything you love about classic ranch, kicked up a notch with my signature Everything BBQ Sauce. This BBQ Ranch Dressing is a flavor-packed upgrade to your everyday salad dressing, veggie dip, or wing sauce. Whether you’re drizzling it over grilled chicken, dunking in crispy fries, or slathering it on burgers, this easy homemade dressing brings the BBQ to anything you eat.

Made with just a few pantry staples and my Fish & Veggie Rub and Everything BBQ Sauce, this dressing strikes a perfect balance between creamy, smoky, sweet, and tangy. And the best part? It only takes you 5 minutes to make.

What’s in BBQ Ranch Dressing

Forget bottled dressings with mystery ingredients. This one’s made from scratch with just a handful of ingredients and some Hey Grill Hey staples. Here’s what you’ll need:

You can use these homemade recipes to make your own Fish & Veggie Rub and Everything BBQ Sauce, or you can grab a bottle of your favorite sauce from the Hey Grill Hey Store. If you want a more traditional ranch profile, you can also try my Homemade Ranch Seasoning.

How to Make BBQ Ranch Dressing

Just follow these simple steps for a dressing that’ll have everyone asking for the recipe:

  1. Combine and mix. Combine all your ingredients into a large bowl, then stir with a rubber spatula until you have a consistency you’re happy with. I like a little swirl, so I mix everything but the BBQ sauce first and stir it in at the end. If you like a smooth finish, you can add it first.
  2. Chill, serve, and store. Serve your BBQ ranch immediately as a dressing for salads, or as a dip for wings, veggies, and more. Store any leftover BBQ ranch in an airtight container in your fridge, and enjoy it with everything for another 3-5 days.

Susie’s BBQ Ranch Dressing Pro Tips

The recipe card at the end of the post has everything you need to make a killer BBQ Ranch Dressing, but these tips will take it over the top:

  • Let it chill (if you can wait). This dressing is delicious right away, but if you’ve got the time, let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes. The flavors meld and deepen, making it even better.
  • Use quality mayo and sour cream. The creamy base is what gives this dressing its rich texture, so start with good stuff!
  • Don’t skip the rub. My Fish & Veggie Rub is what brings that ranchy backbone to this BBQ twist. It’s loaded with savory herbs and spices that make the flavor pop.

Storing Your Dressing

If you have any remaining dressing after you’ve had your fill, store it in an airtight container or mason jar in the fridge. It’ll keep for 3–5 days, making it perfect for quick lunches, snack trays, or last-minute burger night sauces. Just give it a stir before each use, and you’re good to go.
