Sweet Heat Glaze Recipes
Let’s face it, sometimes we all crave delicious smoked or grilled meats. When those cravings also include wanting something sticky, sweet, and a little spicy, look no further than my Sweet Heat BBQ Glaze. This addition instantly kicks up the flavor of any recipe. Listed below are some of my favorites, a little about each of them, and links to the full recipe for when you want to give one a try!
Sweet Heat Fried Chicken Tenders
Let’s get started with these Sweet Heat Fried Chicken Tenders. Featuring crispy, bite-through skin and tender, juicy meat, these are a whole flavor and texture journey. Plus, with my Wing Night Kit, you have everything you need to make this incredibly simple dish.
You can forget about going out to the crowded chicken chain for so-so chicken strips, because my Sweet Heat Fried Chicken Tenders knock out the competition. Made with some seriously tender chicken strips and the goods from my Wing Night: Smoked & Fried Wing Kit, these tenders are about to make you coolest parent on the block.
A buttermilk brine with a kiss of my Sweet Rub soaks into your chicken tenders, loading each bite with juicy flavor. Then these fingers get a healthy coating of my Wing Batter for a crispy exterior so light and crunchy you’ll need a minute. Finally, these perfectly fried tenders get a toss in some of my sticky and delicious Sweet Heat BBQ Glaze.
Sweet Heat Smoker Chicken Wings
Next up are the Sweet Heat Smoker Chicken Wings. Sticky with Sweet Heat Glaze, these are juicy, fall-off-the-bone tender, and bursting with rich, sweet notes and powerful, smoky flavor. This is a no-fuss smoker recipe you can make in just a couple hours, but nobody will believe you.
These bad boys are uniquely impressive for a couple reasons. First, this recipe uses a whole chicken wing. No trimming or separating wings for you, and a one-of-a-kind wing for your fellow tailgaters.
Second, the whole process takes just over 2 hours and there’s almost no prepping involved. There’s no brines or marinades to concoct, and no tray full of liquid taking up valuable fridge space. Just 4 simple ingredients, resulting in some of the sweetest, most succulent chicken wings you’ll ever enjoy, with just a kick of heat.
The easy, two-step smoking process results in smoky, fall-off-the-bone tender, chicken with a crispy, caramelized exterior that’s an oh-so rewarding bite. With all these contrasting, but complementary things going on all at the same time, they’re sure to hit the spot for fans of just about any type of wing. Follow me as I teach you how to make whole wings on the smoker certain to make you the BBQ hero of family wing night.
Smoke Fried Hot Chicken Sandwiches
Ok, Just look at this picture! My Smoke Fried Hot Chicken Sandwiches are tender, juicy, slow-smoked chicken thighs, battered and fried to a crispy, golden-brown perfection, drizzled with the sassy Sweet Heat Glaze for a sticky-smooth finish. I mean, the name alone has my mouth watering.
You can kiss those trips to the chicken chain restaurants goodbye. Once you learn how easy it is to make hot chicken sandwiches at home, you’ll be making them all the time.
If you’ve got my Wing Night Kit, then you’re already most the way to enjoying this tender chicken sandwich. I created this recipe as a way to use the ingredients of the kit. If you don’t have one, don’t worry. You can still make these incredible sandwiches at home with a little help.
Hey Grill Hey Wing Night Kit
I have already mentioned my Wing Night Smoked & Fried Wing Kit a few times and that’s because it has everything you need to make the ultimate crispy, tender wings for your next family wing night or game day party.
This all-in-one kit is perfect for game days, tailgating, or just satisfying that Wednesday night wing craving. First, the Sweet Rub slowly soaks into your wings as they take on all that rich, smoky goodness. Then, the Wing Batter provides a light, crispy, buttery, fried coating that’s a joy to bite into. Finally, a toss in the Sweet Heat Glaze leaves your wings dripping with sticky BBQ glory.
If you’re ready to become the MVP of the wing game, then you have to try this Wing Night Kit. Let me tell you what you get with it, what you can do with it, and then you can use it to give your family the ultimate wing night.
Smoke Fried Party Ribs
Lastly, and to prove that the Sweet Heat BBQ Glaze is amazing on more than just chicken, I have to recommend these tender Smoke Fried Party Ribs. Buckle up.
Ribs are a favorite at my house, but finding 6 hours to smoke a whole rack can be tough. That’s where my Smoke Fried Party Ribs come in. Because of the “party” method of smoking the ribs individually, they’re ready to pick clean in less than 90 minutes. Trust me though, after the flavor journey your friends and family go on, they’ll never believe you made them so quickly.
The magic of these impossibly crispy-yet-saucy ribs lies in the ingredients from my Wing Night Kit. I start by giving my individually sliced ribs a dusting of my signature Sweet Rub. The brown-sugar base enhances the natural sweetness of the pork while developing a nice bark on the exterior. Once the ribs are good and smoky, I give them a quick fry in a light, crispy batter. Finally, these delectable ribs get a final toss in some of my Sweet Heat BBQ Glaze.
If you have a Wing Kit, you’ve already got everything you need to get started. Don’t stress if you don’t have a kit. I’ll still teach you everything you need to know to make your family sweet, smoky, crispy ribs. All right, let’s party.
