To create this spicy, creamy Buffalo Ranch, you’ll be making both my Spicy Sweet Buffalo Sauce and Homemade Ranch Dressing, then combining them. Check out both links for a deeper look and some awesome substitutions and variations.

Buffalo Sauce

  • 1 cup hot sauce
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Ranch Dressing

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup fresh Italian flat-leaf parsley
  • ¼ cup fresh dill
  • 2 Tablespoons chives
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice

How to Make Buffalo Ranch Sauce

Creating this delicious dipping sauce is as easy as it is delicious. Just follow these simple steps, then watch as your guests dip any and everything in it:

  1. Make the Buffalo sauce. Set your grill or stovetop up for low-medium heat. Combine all the Buffalo sauce ingredients in a pot, then whisk just until the butter is melted. You want to remove your sauce from heat before it comes to a boil so your butter doesn’t separate.
  2. Prepare the ranch dressing. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients for your ranch dressing. Use a rubber spatula to stir until you reach your desired consistency. If you like a smoother sauce, then finely chop your herbs before adding.
  3. Combine for Buffalo Ranch. Once your ranch is mixed to your liking, it’s time to combine everything. Slowly pour your Buffalo sauce into your ranch, then stir gently until you have a smooth, cohesive mixture.
  4. Serve and enjoy. Your Buffalo Ranch is ready to eat immediately, or you can allow it to chill for a couple hours. Serve it up with your favorite wings, veggie sticks, or any other dip-able favorites.   • Heat level. You can adjust the level of heat by adding more or less Buffalo sauce to your dip. I mix mine with a 50/50 ratio, but you can make it your own. You can also opt for a milder or spicier hot sauce, if you like.
  • Fresh herbs make a difference. While dried herbs work in a pinch, fresh herbs in the ranch dressing really up the flavor profile of your Buffalo Ranch. Don’t skip the fresh parsley and chives, and chop them roughly if you want some added texture.
  • Chill for best flavor. While you can use your Buffalo Ranch right away, letting it chill in the fridge for an hour or two allows the ingredients to meld and develop, resulting in an even deeper flavor.

Storing and Reusing

This smooth and spicy sauce is just as good the next day, so storing leftovers in the fridge is no problem. Homemade Buffalo Sauce

Homemade Ranch Dressing

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream

Instructions
 

  • Make Buffalo sauce. Combine all Buffalo sauce ingredients in a pot over low-medium heat. Whisk until butter is melted, then remove from heat before it boils.
