Make the seasoning. Combine all the ingredients for your seasoning in a small bowl, then mix until you have an even mixture. I recommend using a whisk or fork so you can break up any clumps.
1 Tablespoon chili powder, 2 teaspoons smoked paprika, 2 teaspoons Kosher salt, 2 teaspoons cumin, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon Mexican oregano, 1 teaspoon granulated garlic, 1 teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper, ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Use the seasoning or store for later. Use the seasoning immediately on the recommended protein. Store any unused seasoning in a glass spice jar for up to 6 months for the best flavor.
