Preheat skillet. Preheat a cast iron skillet on your grill or oven over medium-high heat.
Season steaks. Season the round steak on both sides with Hey Grill Hey Beef Rub, or your favorite steak seasoning. You can also use equal parts salt and pepper.
1 2 pound round steak, 2 teaspoons Hey Grill Hey Beef Rub
Sear steaks. Drizzle avocado oil in the pan and heat until it shimmers, then add in the seasoned steak. Sear for 2-3 minutes, then flip steak and sear for 2-3 more minutes for medium rare. Remove the steak to a plate and let it rest.
1 Tablespoon avocado oil
Make garlic butter. Add the butter to the hot pan, followed by the garlic, thyme, and Worcestershire sauce. Scrape the bottom of the skillet to loosen any seared on bits from the steak. Turn off the heat and let the heat from the pan finish cooking the garlic.
4 cloves garlic, 4 Tablespoons butter, 2 sprigs fresh thyme leaves, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Slice, drizzle, and serve. Slice the steak into thin strips, then return it to the pan. Spoon the garlic butter over the top of your steaks. Serve with your favorite potatoes or veggies.
