Mix the seasoning. Combine the black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and (optional) sugar in a small bowl, then mix until you have an even mixture. I recommend using a whisk or fork so you can break up any clumps.
1 Tablespoon cracked black pepper, 1 Tablespoon coarse Kosher salt, 1 Tablespoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon smoked paprika, ¼ teaspoon sugar
Use immediately or save for later. Use your All-Purpose Seasoning right away, or store in a seasoning jar and store in a dry place for up to 6 months.
