Pizzeria Style Cheesy Bread

Sure, you can have breadsticks with your pizza, or you can have ooey-gooey, cheesy, creamy garlic bread with my Pizzeria Style Cheesy Bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 8 ounce dough ball
  • 1 Tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 2 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 ounce Parmesan cheese grated
  • pinch red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • Stretch. Stretch your dough ball into a rectangle on a well-floured pizza peel. Your stretched dough should be slightly thicker than when making pizza.

  • Top. Drizzle olive oil on the surface of your dough. Sprinkle on minced garlic, shredded mozzarella, and shredded Parmesan.

  • Bake. Slide bread into your pizza oven. Bake for 5-8 minutes at 600-650 degrees F, rotating every 1-2 minutes. Remove when your cheese starts to bubble and your crust is a golden brown with some charring.
  • Rest, slice, and serve. Remove your cheesy bread from the oven, and allow to cool for 2-5 minutes before slicing. Cut to your desired thickness and enjoy. Sprinkle red pepper flakes if you want a little heat.
