Citrus Marinated London Broil with Cilantro Gremolata
This recipe for marinated London broil has a simple marinade that is ridiculously full of flavor. The cilantro gremolata adds the perfect touch to the recipe, and the whole thing comes together for a fantastic meal.

London Broil Marinade
- ½ cup olive oil
- zest of 1 lemon
- zest of 1 lime
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice (bout 1 whole lemon
- 2 teaspoons lime juice about 1 whole lime
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce chipotle pepper base preferred
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Cilantro Gremolata
- 1 yellow, red, or orange bell pepper roasted, skin removed, de-seeded, and finely minced
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- zest of 1 lemon
- 1 bunch cilantro leaves finely minced
Marinade the London broil. Combine all of the ingredients for the marinade in a gallon zip top bag and add the London broil. Remove the steak from the fridge and allow to come to room temperature a half an hour before you're ready to grill.
Preheat the grill. Prepare your grill for high direct heat (about 450 degrees F) and allow it to preheat so the grill grates are nice and hot.
Make the cilantro gremolata. While the grill is preheating, combine all of the ingredients for the gremolata in a small bowl. Set aside.
Grill the London Broil. Remove the London broil from the marinade and shake off any excess. Place the steak directly on the grill grates. Allow the steak to cook for 6-12 minutes per side, or until the meat reaches your desired doneness (120 degrees F for rare, 130 for medium rare, 140 for medium, 150 for medium-well, and 160 for well done).
Rest, slice, and serve. Remove the London broil to a large cutting board and allow to rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing thinly, against the grain. Top with the cilantro gremolata and serve!
