Hey team!! Here’s a really rough post, but an amazing recipe for the Apple Jalapeno BBQ Sauce. I wanted to get the recipe up and running so you guys can have everything you need in time for some Apple Jalapeno Ribs for the Super Bowl tomorrow.
Side note, this recipe is great if you want to cook the sauce and use it straight from the pan, but I’ve found the flavors meld together and everything tastes a little more perfect if you refrigerate the sauce overnight before serving.
ALSO, I used this BBQ sauce as a base for some BBQ Chicken 8 Layer dip. I’ll be posting a recipe with pics for that one ASAP as well, but in the meantime here’s a rundown- Season 2 chicken breasts with salt and pepper and grill until cooked to an internal temp of 160 degrees. Place on a plate and cover with foil for 5 minutes. Shred your chicken breasts (I like to use my stand mixer) and mix in about 1/2 cup of the apple jalapeno BBQ sauce. Spoon and spread the chicken into the bottom of a long, shallow dish. Follow with layers of sour cream, sharp cheddar cheese, olives, green onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and finally avocado. Serve with chips!
